On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. Happy Birthday, America!

| Cosmobot Robotics Competition |
Cosmobot Robotics Competition Was A Great Success! The teams came with great ideas.Elementary and Middle school students from across Texas competed to accomplish the mission of the contest. They realised them in an incredibly short time and show that you can actually solve a difficult technical problem.
From the education point of view, we wanted these young engineers to be motivated and learn about robotics and to do something practical with it, and this is a full success.
Each team member and teachers of first 5 teams awarded with gift cards spondored by COSMOS Foundation.

| Rep. Shelton Visited HSA-Fort Worth Campus |
Texas House of Representative Mark M. Shelton visited Harmony Science Academy-Fort Worth campus and spoke to our students about the life of a state representative, the culture of Texas politics, and constitutional matters. He also answered students’ questions regarding the intricacies of how our government functions.
Rep. Shelton grew up in Arlington, Texas and is a graduate of Lamar HS. He graduated from Baylor University in 1979. He received his medical degree from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine.
Dr. Shelton is interested in improving our education system, enhancing our border security to reduce illegal drug trade and human trafficking, and protecting the rights of home owners. As a physician, Dr. Shelton also has a special interest in health care.

| COSMOS FOUNDATION "Leading Public School Education in Texas" |
The educators and leaders behind the Cosmos Foundation and Harmony schools are passionate about transforming how students engage in math and science. With this vision in mind, The Cosmos Foundation launched Harmony Science Academy in Houston in 2000, with 200 students. The Harmony School system has grown to nineteen schools and over seven thousand students, and built a distinct, high-quality brand since 2000.
